The party decided to investigate the abandoned lighthouse as a vantage point to watch for the rumored green light. Exploring the dilapidated building, they found a journal from the former keeper, Cornelius Willem, detailing a conflict with his daughter, Famke, over a man she was seeing. The journal’s last entry, written shakily, was incomplete. At the top of the lighthouse, they found the smashed light and a broken section of railing, signs of an apparent struggle or attack. Suddenly, they were attacked by strange seagulls with missing legs and bizarre features like beaks made of forks and nails. After narrowly surviving, they discovered unusual treasure in the birds’ guts and leveled up. Back on the ground floor, the party explored the cellar, taking two barrels of grog for their ship. They also uncovered a hidden passage to a small cave with a compass rose carved on the floor, surrounded by black candles—a clear sacrificial site that could amplify spellcasting. When night fell, ...
